— ABOUT US : Who are we ?

Hello! We are The Cabin In The Woods Hub, we recently discovered ourselves on 08/20/2023. We've been around since the body was 7 or 10 years old, but most of our headmates now are new! Right now we are trying to figure out ourselves and how we work, as well as trying to move forward as a system.For now until further notice, we all collectively go by the name Void (it/he), as that is what most people know us as and our online persona. We are also trying out Woodland as a collective name.

— FAQ . . . 
" Can I ask you questions if I have any doubts? "Yes. We appreciate getting questions and letting us talk about our systemhood. You can even ask what you'd consider "insensitive", as long as it's genuine. We believe that wanting to learn is cool.
" Is this going to be relevant to how we interact? "Yeah. There is literal multiple people in our head who all deserve to have lives and we all want to live our lives, so they're going to be relevant in our life and how we interact with people.
" What terms do I use for you guys? "We are plural or multiple. The people in living in our head are our headmates and we like to call ourselves a Hub instead of system, due to our headspace looking like one of those minecraft server hubs. We heavily dislike medicalizing our plurality as we believe it leads to dehumanization and mistreatment of our headmates.
" How do I know who's fronting? "Either check our status on discord, or we will tell you, you can also check below if we use any of our signature emojis at the beginning of a message. It's usually Reko, Yuro and Spikes though. You can ask who's fronting or around.
" Who am I more likely to interact with? "Reko (also known as Void). You're also most likely going to see Yuro, our co-host; my dumbass hedgehog brother Spikes, or the autism creature, Miles; our personal pocket extrovert, Deiko ; my grumpy ass roommate Cyrus (he's actually a sweetheart) and our chill designated by brain momdad, Reagan. Other people might talk if they are mentioned or it's relevant to them.
" Is it okay to ask someone to front? "Most of us are okay with it, just check our individual boundaries on our introductions
" Are other headmates aware of our conversations? "Sort of. Only Deiko and Yuro are mostly aware of them and what's happening outside, but sometimes they're not paying attention or are too sleepy to, lol. Most are doing their own thing and unaware of what we're doing. However if you mention them, they might get teleported to front or get that spideysense tingle that they're being mentioned and then do that one vine.
" How do I behave around the fictives (headmates from or based in fictional media)? "Normally, lol. What you can keep in mind is that our fictives come into the system with only the knowledge they had in their world. Not all are willing to change themselves, but you can also expect some to be really different from what you might expect. People change.
" How do I behave around other headmates that I don't know? "Just talk to them like normal honestly, like how you'd do with a friend of a friend, lol. They will let you know if they know you or not.

— STRUCTURE : How do we work ?

— .Individuality. The most important thing to note about how we work: We are all our own individuals. No matter how similar we might speak, how similar we might think, we are all our own person.
— .Control. . We like to think of it like this: The headmates, who all have roles and the brain, who designs the roles and decides who does who, and how memories are distributed. It's as if it's its own entity, like an AI or an animal. You can maybe hack into it, or convince it to do what you want, but it will always be running its programming on what it thinks is best for its own survival, to the point we might not have control over what happens or not.
— .Memories. . Our memories can be shared voluntarily, or involuntarily depending on situation. However, most than not, our headmates share basic knowledge of what the body's stored memories that gains through the day if they wish to tap into the memories. It is a learned skill to know how to have memories shared or hidden, from others and yourself. We don't truly have any memory barrier imposed by switching, more than possibly emotional memories, and not even that at times.
— .Fronting. . Fronting, or taking over the body's mind and movement, is a complex thing to explain for our case. The host, Reko, is always stuck in being conscious and absorbing information, whether it even knows it. The way switching works for us, is like giving the controller to another person who just came by, or was watching us play. While Void is always watching the gameplay and the person playing it, I cannot fully ignore it. Even if I stop looking at it, I am hearing, I am feeling the physical effects (unless I dissociate or zone out). In extreme cases, we can experience partial emotional and physical memory barriers.
